PIIP 2025

 Friday 5/23/25 ecological oceanic  We went to the beach to observe the sand and see what different species there is. It was a nice relaxing day not having to worry about a thing. Buuuuuuuuttt JUAN decided he wanted to wrestle a shark and well let me tell you the shark won him. He lost his shoes, boxers and shorts but he found his shorts, thank goodness. It was super funny I had a good time. Juans fingernail came off as well. AND then when we came back we entered a storm I was so scared. Imagine being in the middle of the ocean in a storm felt like titanic 2.0. We made it alive tho. #SURVIVORS Saturday 5/24/25 Work Day. Worked on our poster all day until 7pm. Then it was cultural day and it was nice seeing different dances. Stayed up until 1am dancing and just having a good last day with our peers. Sunday 5/25/25 Presentation day.  Tuesday 5/20/25 My first night out, I was so nervous! We went out around 6:30pm to get to the sight around 7pm. It was a walk and everything is so different at night especially when it rains so it was so hard to find our sight. It took about maybe a few minutes to find sight 1 and then we walked around to try to fight sight 2. We did not see many amphibian since it had started to rain again so we decided to come back. It was not as bad as I had expected. Wednesday 5/21/25 I went kayaking for the first time! Super fun! We then had to do a little presentation about our project to let everyone know what we were trying to do. Took HOURS to finish it. Then had to go on our night hike which was my second night out which was good. It was not too bad finished within 4 hours. Only bad thing was my allergies they were killing me.  The power went out so it was a bit hot last night. I did have trouble sleeping The bed was squeaky! I took my first shower here was cold at first but then feels good. We went out to do our research and oh my it was tiring. Super hot. I also almost sunk in I was slowly going down lol. Made it through day 1 of research. 

 We arrived to batipa!! Super nice but also very hot!!! The mangos here are so yummy. Talked a bit about research and got together as a group. 

 Saturday 17 (5/17/25) Made it to David was a pretty fast flight and everything went smooth. Happy for that because I feel like I’ve been traveling everyday so we finally get to rest up a bit tonight.

 Wednesday 14- Friday 16 Day one of travel (5/14/25) Made it to Seattle from Pasco but then had our flight delayed from Seattle to Miami which was very stressful. Thanks to Dr. Black we were able to get everything situated. Half of out group did get separated. Day two of travel (5/15/25) We made it to Miami where we met the other half of the group. We couldn’t get on the flight with them so we enjoyed our day in Miami. It was very hot there but overall had a good time and rested well since we had a flight to catch the next day. Day three of travel (5/16/25) Our flight went perfect scheduled on time and everything. We finally made it to Panama City after three days of travel we made it! Overall these three days were very hectic and very tiring. Also this is my first time traveling.

 I am nervous about panama as it’s getting closer. Packing has been very stressful since I have never traveled before so I really don't know what we can take on a plane but other than that I’m nervous but excited.
